As the compounding crises in Gaza continue to intensify, securing daily bread has become a serious challenge for thousands of families—particularly in devastated areas and displacement shelters. With a growing shortage of essential supplies and soaring flour prices, the simplest human need—bread—has become one of the hardest to obtain, turning it into a daily symbol of resilience against blockade and hardship.
In response to this urgent need, Aksa Association launched the Traditional Bread Distribution Project as one of its rapid and effective humanitarian interventions to support food security. The project aims to provide fresh, traditional bread—a staple on every family’s table—and deliver it daily to affected and displaced families across various areas of the Gaza Strip.
The project is carried out in partnership with trusted local bakeries operating at high production capacity and under strict health supervision. Aksa’s field teams ensure the bread is distributed through well-planned logistics to guarantee it reaches beneficiaries in top quality and at the right time—while preserving the dignity of recipients throughout the process.
This initiative is more than just food distribution; it reflects deep-rooted values of solidarity and resilience, and embodies collective responsibility in times of crisis. Thanks to the generous donations of supporters from Türkiye and around the world, Aksa Association continues to provide this essential service that allows thousands of families to face each day with dignity and nourishment.
In Gaza, a single piece of bread can be a source of security. Through this project, we restore its meaning and protect the dignity of those who need it most, despite the harsh realities they endure.
