In the heart of impoverished villages across Africa, Eid al-Adha passes by many Muslim families without the joy of celebration or the taste of a sacrificial offering. Extreme poverty, food scarcity, and the absence of meat from their tables throughout the year make Qurbani a distant dream. In response, Aksa Association launched the Qurbani Project in Africa to bring the true spirit of Eid to those who have long been deprived of it.
The project aims to carry out the slaughter and distribution of sacrificial animals in the poorest regions in collaboration with trusted local partners. It is implemented in full accordance with Islamic guidelines—from selecting healthy livestock, to slaughtering within the prescribed time, to distributing the meat in a way that preserves dignity and brings joy to families in need.
The process includes mobilizing field teams for full oversight, ensuring that food portions reach the rightful recipients in remote villages. The project also emphasizes fairness in distribution and providing enough meat to benefit as many families as possible.
This initiative is not just about distributing meat—it is about spreading joy and reminding the less fortunate that they are part of a united Ummah that shares and supports each other during times of celebration. It is a living embodiment of the values of sacrifice, generosity, and solidarity that define Eid al-Adha.
Thanks to your generous contributions, each Qurbani becomes a bridge of mercy—connecting those who can give with those who are in need, and reaching the heart of a child who awaits a piece of meat that will ease his hunger and restore the joy of Eid.
